nolo home FPS

First, I apologize that my English is not fluent.
I am not a native speaker.

Hello, I am using nolo very satisfactorily.
But one thing, can you set frame limit options in nolo home?
Of course I can limit the game frame on the pc.

However, frames that are captured and sent to the VR can not be controlled.

I'm using a pico g2 4k that runs at 72 fps.
At transmission at 3840x1920 resolution at 72fps it has a slight problem.
The screen often looks cluttered.

This is not a problem with wifi connections
(I use an Ethernet wired connection).

A user using ALVR said it was solved when encoding and decoding at 60 FPS.

He was able to set it up in ALVR.
However, I can not find an option in nolo home.

I would be very grateful if you could add this feature.

  • Also, can nolo support h.265 encoding? Thanks for your hard work. nolo is constantly evolving and this is the best for me.
  • @kkh Thanks for your message. Currently, NOLO HOME does not support h.265 encoding and setting frame limit options. We will try to add these features soon.

  • @kkh Hi, may I know what's your another question?
Are you using a 5G Router and if your Pico G2 connecting to the 5G Wifi?

    @admin

Yes I am using RT-AC86U. 5Ghz network, wireless speed and latency is very smooth.

    Here are my other questions:

Can I set frame limit options in nolo home?
Of course I can limit the game frame on the pc,

But, frames that are captured and sent to the VR(pc >>> vr) can not be controlled.

    I tried

    1. GIGA wifi 5Ghz network, (with amd 2700x gtx1080 16G ram)

    2. wired connection to Ethernet using a usb hub (with amd 2700x gtx1080 16G ram)

but this phenomenon(compression artefacts) happened as well. This problem occurs in scenes with a lot of complex objects and scenes with lots of movement.

A user who using ALVR said it was solved when encoding and decoding at 60 FPS.

He was able to set it up in ALVR.

However, I can not find the option in nolo home. (I mean streaming fps setting)

I would be very grateful if you could add this feature
  • Oh, sorry I could not confirm your answer properly.

I do not have any additional questions. Have a nice day.
  • @kkh Thanks for your update. As I said before, NOLO HOME does not support setting frame limit options. You can use the network monitor tool to check if the channel of your network is too crowd. If you don't know how to use it, we can do a remote session to check it for you.
